On Monday I had the honour of photographing the launch of 'The internet of things' laboratory at James Cook University. Like every good launch there was cake, which happens to be a huge perk in my line of work. Cake aside though, I had heard about the IoT lab last year from my tech friend and was excited to feast my eyes on the real deal.
I couldn't possibly explain to you the ins and outs of what 'the internet of things' is. When my said tech friend tried explaining it to me, I had brain hard drive failure. It's intense. All I took away from the conversation was, if you forget to take your wheelie bin out one day, you'll get notified. So naturally, I think this is a massive move forward for the interweb and all of the not so wheelie bin savvy folk out there. #evolutionbaby
HOWEVER there was one thing I did understand and that was this incredible fit out! Straight lines. Symmetry. Exposed ceilings. Polished concrete. These are a few of my favourite things.
I'm really excited for James Cook University and what this course means for the region. I can't wait to see the bright souls who emerge from this lab in the future and well done Field Construct for an awesome fit out.
Until next time...
