Back in the day when I was on work placement from school, I did work experience with an amazing photographer who I still, to this day idolise. Legend. My most distinct memory of this work experience was the day he said to me...
"Jannah, if you want to be a photographer, you've gotta learn how to drink cold coffee"
Nudging 2 decades later, it's safe to say that this man knew exactly what he was talking about. Drinking cold coffee comes with the territory but that doesn't mean you should drink cold coffee that tastes like crap right? Right. Times have changed.
A couple of months ago, with some seemingly obvious divine intervention, I shared a table with two super sharp chicks at the Cairns Business Womens Awards who gave me word on the power of their beans. With genuine reluctance I claimed that I have a deeply imbedded fear of change in my life and changing my everyday bean could produce disastrous consequences of which there is no certainty.
They lured me into their roasters the following week, rattling half a baggie of beans, just a taste, and that's the moment my coffee bean commitment issues began. I ventured home and over the next month devoured my half a baggie of beans and now you're going to get the scoop.
Stone hammer blend Strong, dark and with a touch of fruitiness, this blend gave me a sense of what it might feel like to don a beard and run in a lumberjack circle. A delightful blend to wake up to especially with the cooler weather.
Reckon you have coffee bean commitment issues?
Until next time....
